    Kennesaw State University Admissions

    Kennesaw State freshman have, for the past ten years, posted a combined SAT score between 1000 and 1100 (Honors students posted 1200). The average high school GPA for entering freshmen has been above 3.00.

    The requirements for admission include an SAT score of 950 or an ACT score of 20., along with a minimum high school GPA of 2.5. An application fee of $30 is required for online applicants and $40 is required for manual applicants. One unique aspect to the admissions program is that KSU encourages students under the age of 23 who have obtained a GED to spend two years in a community or junior college before applying as a transfer student.

    The KSU website provides the “Freshman Admission Predictor Form,” an online form that uses information about the applicant’s high school career to determine whether that applicant will meet admission requirements. Applicants should be prepared to list various high school courses they have completed and their predicted GPA in order for the Predictor to function properly.

    The Office of Admissions also offers a Hispanic Admissions Assistance program to support Hispanic students-first generation or otherwise-in the application and admissions process.

    Applications to the undergraduate programs are accepted through May 27, 2005 for fall semester admission in 2005, with an application fee of $30 for online applications. Applications that are submitted manually cost $40. In addition to the application form and fee, students must provide high school transcripts and official SAT or ACT scores. Students must also demonstrate provide immunization to a number of diseases prior to enrollment.

    Undergraduate students must meet the following an entry requirements: four courses in English, four in mathematics, three in natural sciences, two in foreign languages in the same language, and three in social sciences. Students must graduate from high school. The GED is only honored for students who have been out of high school for more than five years. Students must have a combined minimum score of 950 on the SAT. Students must have a minimum grade point average of 2.5. Special assistance with the application process is available to Hispanic students, home educated students, and nontraditional adult learning students.

    Graduate students must meet individual program requirements for admission.

    The University also has a joint enrollment honors program for high school students, who can take university courses for credit on the campus.
